TEMPORARY RELIGIOUS WORKER
The Temporary Religious Worker will undertake NON-PASTORAL work and SUPPORT the Religious Activities of the Gurdwara, to ASSIST the Head Granthi( Minister of Religion) by conducting Religious Work as and when required. This is NOT a Pastoral role and duties will NOT include leading a congregation.

Work is physical and requires carrying items up to 5kg. All training will be provided.
Workers must provide own transport to the farm then will be transported via company vehicles to the required area of the farm.

Quarriers’ Families Matter Kinship Care Service is commissioned by the Health and Social Care Partnership in Glasgow to deliver a safeguarding and support service to over 300 children and young people in the North East and North West of the city, working in partnership with Children 1st in the South. Our well-established service model involves the third sector providing a safeguarding and support role to children, young people, and their families on behalf of social work, by undertaking regular home visits and identifying any additional supports required. We work closely with children, young people, and families to ensure the support provided is right for them taking a relational and strengths-based approach.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Project Worker to join our team on a part-time 17.5 hours per week basis. The post is currently temporary until 30th November 2023, with the possibility of further funding beyond this date. The successful candidate will be able to flexibly organise their workload utilising Quarriers agile working policies, alternating primarily between Glasgow Regional office, and working from home, however as our service is flexible to meet the needs of families, there will be a requirement to visit children and young people after school and into early evening. Access to your own transport is essential for this role as our service operates across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

It is therefore essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate an understanding of the impact of trauma and child development, and of the GIRFEC national practice model as well as career experience of working with children and families.
In this fast-paced but highly rewarding role, you will join a small but dedicated team of experienced colleagues who are passionate about delivering and developing the service to ensure it meets the needs of the children, young people and families we support. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to co-produce and facilitate group work with children and young people, including our Kinship peer support and peer mentoring groups. We also offer school holiday activity programs, Christmas outings and music therapy sessions which we deliver in partnership with Nordoff Robbins music charity.

Seasonal Worker – Potting, Cleaning, Weeding, Trimming, Packing Plants
This position is physically demanding with long working hours during the busy period, which is typically from March to August, but can run a bit longer depending on sales.
From January to March the main role is potting a large quantity of plants to fill up the glasshouses. From March to end of the season it will also include lifting, cleaning, weeding and trimming plants for sale or packing them to be shipped.
We are based in Enfield, so if you travel by public transport, there’s a bus stop at the end of the road and on-site parking.
